Your Support is Needed

Hey Backyard Poultry Buffs,

Margy Stancill, a resident of Kensington, MD was a guest on my radio show this week. We have had many conversations since, and she has requested that we all contact the Montgomery County officials that are giving her problems about keeping backyard pet chickens.

Some of the statements that have been made according to Margy are...

"if the chickens are laying eggs then they are not pets"

"if they are not running around the yard free and not going in your house at night, then they are not pets"

I guess this means that outside cats and dogs are not pets either.

Please contact the county officials listed below and show your support for Margy Stancill.

Based on the comments listed above, they need a little help understanding that backyard chickens can be pets!
